The Sexy Curls jQuery Plugin
The Sexy Curls jQuery Plugin! is an open-source jQuery plugin by Elliott Kember which lets you share in the beauty of the page fold. You can see the sexy curl fold at the top right of the page at Fish in the River. It’s relevantly easy to install. All you need is jQuery, jQuery UI and the Sexy Curls Plugin. You don’t have to download jQuery and jQuery UI separately as you can get them all here.
Easy To Install
It’s easy to install if you just follow the instruction. Also there’s an installation text file which will give you the full instruction for you to install the plugin.
However, I found that if you want to install the plugin in different place to your html or php file, you may need to alter the javascript code a bit. First I suggest to use “turnImage” in the jQuery function area with the absolute url. And open up the turn.js and find this code (at about line 44);
var img = $('
');
Remove the “options.directory+’/'+”, so it will look like this;
var img = $('
');
If you don’t remove that part of the code, you will get “./” in front of your url something like “./http://fishintheriver.com/..” and your curl image won’t be displaed properly. (But if you have any other ideas, please leave your comments and share your ideas).
Free to download
The Sexy Curls jQuery Plugin is under MIT license. As the author says you can do whatever you damn well please with it. You can copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies. You can even print it out and wear it as a hat if you like.
