Facebook-style Tooltip Plugin For jQuery

As Simpletip2 is no longer maintained due to supposed copyright infringement, I needed to find any other alternatives which are beautiful and rich-featured. There are many other good jQuery tooltip plugins, I would like to write about Tipsy which is very easy to install.

Tipsy

Tipsy is a jQuery for creating a Facebook-like tooltips effect based on an anchor tag’s title attribute. Using the gravity parameter, it’s possible to control the positioning of the tooltip relative to the pointee. Also it has the fading effect as you can do with normal jQuery plugins. You can also combine fade and gravity.

I would say it’s not as beautiful and rich-featured as Prototip which is based on Prototype jqvascript framwork, but it’s simply cool enough to give some cool tooltip effects on your website.
